Dear Rand & Tuulberg family and our friends and partners

Our commitment to sustainability

The long-term success of Rand & Tuulberg is closely linked to our ability to create value and not only for the business owners, but also for our employees, clients, communities, and the environment. Consequently, to ensure that future generations can enjoy these values, we are committed to integrating sustainable environmental, social, and management principles into our daily activities.

The environment

There is no denying that construction has a huge impact on the surrounding environment. As one of the leading Estonian main contractors, we are in a great position to bring about real change across the construction value chain. To achieve this, we will:

  • Reduce our carbon footprint – our goal is to become climate neutral by 2045. To achieve this, we will reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 by becoming more energy efficient, using energy from renewable sources, and gradually moving to a more sustainable machinery fleet.
  • We will continue to be environmentally responsible – we have implemented an international environmental management system in the business. We are guided by these principles in our daily work and are looking for ways to further contribute to environmental efficiency. Our objective here is very clear – we must not have any pollution-related incidents.
  • We will implement the principles of circular economy into all our processes – creating lasting buildings and facilities, using materials sparingly, reducing waste, and creating the conditions for the future reuse of our work. To this end, we will source at least 50% of our materials from sustainable sources by 2030. We will reduce waste from our construction sites by 50% by 2030.

Social responsibility

Our greatest asset is our people. We have been and will continue to be a people-centred organisation. We want to promote sustainable social practices throughout our value chain and involve the communities that we affect.

  • We ensure the well-being and development of our employees – we are committed to providing and maintaining an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment. We promote the health and development of our employees. We will introduce regular employee well-being surveys and performance reviews.
  • We look after our partners – our construction sites are safe places where everyone can work freely and without fear. We make sure that our health and safety management system is effective. We will do our utmost to ensure that no work accidents happen on our construction sites.
  • We involve communities – we work actively together and give back to the communities. We wish to become the most reliable main contractor in Estonia.

Top-tier leadership

An extra strong management is the main prerequisite for achieving sustainability objectives.

  • We behave ethically – we respect others and take responsibility for our actions and words. By the end of 2025, we will create a single code of conduct and a way to report violations.
  • We are transparent – we boldly share our goals, achievements, and setbacks with others. We publish our annual sustainability report.
  • We manage risks – we identify and mitigate risks that may arise from environmental changes, social problems, or ethical issues. We carry out regular risk analyses.

We create long-term value. Our people, business culture, customers, and innovation are of key importance to us. Addressing sustainability issues gives us a competitive edge and boosts our credibility. We invite you to join our journey, working together for a better tomorrow. Only together will we ensure that the environment is preserved and our creation is built to last.

We thank you for your continued support!

Yours sincerely

Tambet, Maiken, Lauri, Joonas
